Job description

The Fitness Attendant provides excellent customer service while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming fitness environment. Responsibilities include monitoring the fitness floor, sanitizing and maintaining equipment, assisting members with equipment use, and enforcing facility policies and safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year fitness facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Monitor fitness areas to ensure safe and proper use of equipment.
  • Provide basic guidance on fitness equipment operation and facility rules.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workout areas, locker rooms, and common spaces.
  • Perform routine inspections of fitness equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Enforce facility policies, safety procedures, and code of conduct requirements.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and complete incident reports when necessary.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures for the fitness facility.
  • Support fitness programs, special events, and member activities as assigned.
  • Answer member questions and direct concerns to supervisors when needed.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for all facility users.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 4:30 AM - 9:30 AM
Rotating weekends: Saturday 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM / Sunday 10:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Range:
Hourly/Non-Exempt
$16.00 - $21.00; based on work experience
