Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented person with strong attention to detail and accuracy to join our financial team This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and managing billing and collections.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

· Process and reconcile medical billing transactions and payments.

· Submit insurance claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.

· Verify insurance and eligibility.

· Post payments from insurance companies and patients accurately.

· Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as directed.

· Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.

· Maintain organized and compliant financial and billing records.

· Communicate with patients and insurance providers regarding billing inquiries.

· Prepare financial reports as requested by management.

· All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

· Minimum 2 years of accounting experience; healthcare or medical billing experience required.

· Knowledge of Medicaid billing, private pay billing, and dealing with MCO's.

· Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Provider Pro, QuickBooks, etc.).

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA compliance awareness required).

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

· Maintain a valid driver's license.

Hours : This part-time position will be approximately 20 hours per week with an agreed upon schedule with the Director of Finance.

Wage: Will commensurate with Experience
