Location:100 E College Ave, Colby, Kansas

Position Information: The Patient Financial Advisor is responsible for assisting patients with financial matters related to their
medical care. This includes explaining medical bills, verifying insurance coverage, setting up paymentplans, and guiding patients through financial assistance programs. They ensure compliance withhealthcare regulations, advocate for patients in billing disputes, and work closely with internaldepartments to maintain accurate financial records.

Days:Monday through Friday

Hours: 8am to 5pm

Pay Range: dependent upon experience.

What you'll do:

    • Assist patients with financial assistance programs
    • Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances.
    • Explain medical bills and insurance coverage.
    • Advocate for patients with insurance and billing disputes.
    • Set up and manage payment plans.
    • Manage multiple communication channels simultaneously.

    What you bring to the table:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • 1-2 years of experience in patient financial services, healthcare billing, insurance verification, or a
      related field required.
    • Knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims processing, and financial assistance programs
    • Experience in a customer service role, with the ability to handle high-volume patient interactions
      across multiple platforms.
    • Strong understanding of HIPAA and other healthcare laws and regulations
