Job description

Description
  • This will be a part-time position with no more than 30 hours per week
  • Assisting with the administration of requirements as stated in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 32 Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) to ensure compliance with both government and SRC Policies and Security Standards, Practices and Procedures (SPPs)
  • Assisting the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Division Security Manager in the effective implementation, assessment, and management of the SRC Security Program
  • Assisting with personnel security including onboarding, offboarding, and other security related employment actions
  • Submitting Visit Authorization Requests (VARs) via appropriate system of record
  • Providing personnel initial and refresher security briefings and other training
  • Providing instruction and promotes understanding of personnel on individual security responsibilities for physical security, both Government and company processes and procedures, and protecting sensitive information
  • Assisting with maintaining all security relevant records in accordance with security regulations and data privacy laws including personnel security records and both incident and Insider Threat reports
  • Assisting with managing Foreign Travel reporting requirements for cleared personnel. Provides guidance to personnel on the reporting requirements and necessary documentation; entering information in Security Information Management System (SIMS) and Defense Industrial Security System (DISS) as required
  • Reviewing provided documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Notifying the Government customer, the DCSA ISR and CI as applicable
  • Serving as a point of contact for personnel regarding clearance status, badge issues, and security-related questions and concerns.
  • Assisting with periodic self-inspections, investigations of security incidents involving personnel, credentials, or facility access, corrective actions for all incidents, vulnerability assessments and maintenance procedures
  • Assisting with management of Physical Security actions for both personnel and facilities to include generating employee, contractor and other photo IDs; managing facility access via the access control system and alarm access via the intrusion detection system
  • Working closely with HR, Recruiting, IT, Contracts, Procurement and other departments to support all personnel security requests and access control measures
  • Maintaining all applicable Government System of Records for personnel and facility clearance actions per NISPOM guidance to include DISS, NBIS, NISS, as well as, the internal (SIMS) for the company

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Associate's degree in area of specialty and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • A minimum of a Secret level Department of Defense security clearance based on current T3, T3R or Continuous Evaluation enrollment
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage workload priorities to meet end-user deadlines. Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Must have excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, exercise sound business judgment and establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel at all levels in the organization
Desired Skills
  • Working knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) for a possessing facility is highly desired
  • Basic working knowledge of access controls and alarm systems
  • Experience with processing personnel security actions related to security investigations, Common Access Cards (CAC), system access requests, VARs, and SCI nominations
  • Intermediate PC skills are necessary including use of MS Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
