Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) – Female Caregiver Needed (Hourly Position)

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Pay: $20/hour
Location: In-Person
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable Female Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide quality in-home care for a male client. We need someone who can work Monday to Friday either 9AM to 1PM or 4PM - 8PM . The ideal candidate is dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life and has their own vehicle. 

Requirements
  • Current New Jersey CHHA certification (required)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Ability to work assigned shifts and maintain a consistent schedule
Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Monitor and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, or overall well-being
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration according to care plans and agency guidelines
  • Support clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care needs, and other cognitive challenges
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe home environment
  • Document care provided accurately using agency documentation systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities as needed
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices
  • Experience working with individuals with dementia is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively
  • Physical ability to assist with transfers and lift up to 50 pounds when required
