Position Summary
The ID Checker for alcohol compliance is responsible for ensuring all bar patrons meet legal age requirements for alcohol service. This role verifies identification, helps enforce alcohol service policies, and supports overall compliance with company standards and state regulations. The position plays a key role in maintaining a safe and responsible environment for guests and staff.
This is a temporary role that will start June 11, 2026, and will end on June 23, 2026
This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00 - $23.00.
This position will remain open until June 31, 2026.
Responsibilities
  • Check identification for every patron entering or purchasing alcohol to ensure they are 21 years of age or older.
  • Verify that IDs are valid, unexpired, authentic, and belong to the individual presenting them.
  • Identify and refuse entry or service to individuals presenting false, altered, or invalid identification.
  • Apply wristbands to patrons whose identification has been verified and who meet legal drinking age requirements, in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist staff with alcohol compliance procedures, including monitoring alcohol service and helping enforce cut-off policies.
  • Observe, document, and report alcohol-related incidents or concerns to management.
  • Support enforcement of company policies and applicable state and local alcohol laws.
  • Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
  • Work in a high-volume event environment that may require standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, and working in crowded or loud settings during live events.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in security, hospitality, or alcohol compliance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of safety practices and basic enforcement procedures in a business environment is a plus.
  • Strong ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, tactful, and diplomatic when dealing with guests and staff.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow established procedures consistently.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.
  • Must possess a alcohol service certification as required by local regulations.
