Job description

S. Clyde Weaver is hiring two part-time Farmer's Market Associates at our farmer's market stand in the Lancaster County Farmer's Market in Wayne, PA!


These part-time positions are between 20-28 hours per week. Employees receive free lunch and employee discounts.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
  • Stocking/building case displays
  • Product preparation
  • Help with market stand set up and tear down
  • Cleaning and sanitizing market cases 
  • Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
  • Differentiate between products, helping customers compare and contrast flavors, textures, parings, etc.
  • Answer all customer questions and address concerns
  • Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
  • Handle all transactions with accuracy
  • Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
  • Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)
  • Additional sanitation and market support as needed


Requirements and Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of retail experience desired
  • Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive and friendly attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
