Pushing and lifting up to 50 lbs, working outside with horses.

Shift coordinated with supervisor. Could require weekends/holidays.

Job Summary
The Veterinary Department at UK is seeking a STEPS Farm Worker Part-Time Woodford Farm to horse care at our Woodford Farm location.
This includes:
  • Daily care and feeding of horses
  • Help with research projects to include prepping study supplies and treatments
  • Administering daily treatments to 35 horses
  • Other duties as assigned

This position will need to work weekdays and weekends depending on the schedule of the farm and will need to be able to get to our Versailles farm daily.

Farm experience, experience with horses and routine animal care.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience
Horse or Large Animal Background/Farm experience.
