NON-CREDIT INSTRUCTOR FOR COMMUNITY AND WORKFORCE TRAINING (POOL)
Faculty Part-Time
The position of Non-Credit Instructor for Community and Workforce Training is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on-going basis.
Are you interested in pushing the boundaries of what education could be for a dynamic community college in a beautiful rural setting? If yes, then this is the position for you!
As a Part-Time Non-Credit Instructor for Community and Workforce Training, you will be responsible for planning, developing and instructing non-credit classes or workshops offered by the UCC Community and Workforce Training Department delivered throughout UCC's Service District.
Community & Workforce Training Instructors teach part-time, non-credit courses in one or more of the following areas: Arts & Crafts, Professional Development & Continuing Education, Computers and Electronics, Fitness & Health, Home & Garden, Language & Writing, Recreation & Dance, and Youth Camps & Family. Instructors are responsible for planning, developing and instructing courses and workshops taught on the UCC campus, in Roseburg, in outlying Douglas County communities, or online. The ideal instructor combines an interest in serving the community with a desire to supplement their existing income.

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Knowledge and experience with subject matter being taught required.
  • Prior teaching experience, preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed required.
  • Ability to work well with students, staff and faculty, required.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include evening and weekend hours, required.
  • Ability to complete all electronic or paper forms with care and detail, required.
  • Must have valid Oregon driver's license, provide own transportation.
  • Access to an internet connection and active email account for web-based functions including viewing class lists, payroll, assigned class space, and department correspondence, required.
