Job Title: Associate, Events & Experiences
Department: Events & Experiences
Reports To: Manager, Events & Experiences
Location: This position is 100% in-person in Chicago / United Center (In-Office)
Hours: Standard business hours are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm / Monday - Friday. However, all positions require non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) based on the event schedule.
Status: Full-time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Duration: 2026-2027 NHL Regular Season (September through April - possibly longer if team makes the playoffs)

Compensation: $21.00 per hour, 30 - 40 hours per week

Role Summary:

The Chicago Blackhawks are seeking a highly motivated self-starter individual as our Associate, Events and Experience. As the Associate, Events & Experience, this position will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day execution of all Blackhawks events and activations. This is including but not limited to the coordination of lead up event production needs, support for our team of Events & Experience Part Time Team Members, and the setup, teardown and logistics of game activations all with the goal of delivering an elite fan experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate logistics for assigned events, from conception to execution, and ensure every aspect reflects an impeccable eye for detail

  • Assist with the set-up, execution, and tear down of various team events including home games and brand activations

  • Play a key role in the booking and onsite logistics for all in-game and event entertainment

  • Serve as the onsite contact for all pregame and intermission entertainment groups

  • Prepare and coordinate administrative materials for department, entertainers, and part-time staff prior to each game

  • Work with stage managers on the execution of all live Game Presentation elements and production for Blackhawks home games (tv timeouts, host segments, etc.)

  • Setup, teardown and coordination of all production elements in-bowl for Blackhawks home games and events

  • Support the coordination of Events and Experience part-time staff members

  • Support Blackhawks Mascot Tommy Hawk with administrative planning for appearances both in game and external

  • Research trends and innovative practices to integrate into future events to continually raise the bar and increase engagement

  • Perform all other duties as needed

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing or related field

  • 1+ years experience in event management, preferably in sports and entertainment or special events

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the event and game schedules

  • Exceptional organization and time management skills and the ability to organize resources, establish priorities and develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to ensure excellent customer service to both fans and vendor partners

  • Team player, ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

  • Proactive and proficient problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands to effectively meet deadlines
