Job Title: Banquet Server

Reports To: Director of Events/ Chief Operating Officer & President of ICON

Locations: The Carriage House and Gourmet Italian Cuisine Restaurant

Status: Part Time

 Summary:


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Banquet Server to join our team both at The Carriage House and the Gourmet Italian Cuisine Restaurant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service during events, ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience. You will work closely with the culinary team and Director of Event to deliver high-quality food service and maintain guest relations.


Duties:

 

  • Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table settings and decorations.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the event.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any needs or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during events.
  • Handle food safely and adhere to all food handling guidelines.
  • Support the overall success of the event by being proactive and attentive to guest services.
  • Any other tasks assigned by management


 

Qualifications:

 

  • Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred, particularly in a banquet or hotel setting.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Knowledge of culinary practices and food handling procedures is a plus.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help team members is needed.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift items as necessary for event setup and service.


Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Reliable transportation
  • Open availability Friday, Saturday, Sunday and/or weekday availability AM & PM
  • Required to work at the Carriage House and Gourmet Italian Cuisine restaurant
  • Attendance/Punctuality -Is consistently at work and on time.

The employee must be in uniform gear including NONSLIP sneakers during work hours. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus:


  • Ability to lift and carry: Ability to lift 50-75lbs and more.
  • Must have weekday availability & weekend availability 
  • Must have: 1–2-year experience in banquet serving
  • Must have experience carrying heavy football trays
  • Standing for extended periods: Banquet servers need to be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Set up and tear down: Banquet servers may be required to set up and tear down events, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment.
