Description
Under direction of the Sports & Conventions Servicing Coordinator, the Reacreation Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of support duties for special events and tournaments, to include but not limited to administrative duties, customer service and hospitality.
Principal Duties
  1. Assist with the planning, preparation, and participation of Visit College Station events.
  2. Help promote College Station by being knowledgeable, friendly, and sharing about community assets.
  3. Provide welcome and hospitality support, customer service and information to visitors.
  4. Maintain and track promotional inventory and equipment to include tournament equipment and golf cart operation.
  5. Utilize the CRM (Content Relationship Manager) system to communicate with partners and track group data.
  6. Provide support with extracurricular departmental activities and special events including but not limited to performing related set-up/clean-up activities prior to and after events, stocking and delivering coolers, and providing other related events/activities support as needed.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.

Qualifications
Required:
High School diploma, GED equivalent, or currently attending high school. Must be sixteen (16) years of age or older. Texas Driver's License. Experience working with youth and people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to work with only general direction and with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills. Willingness and availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Preferred:
Experience in event planning, sports tournaments, and hospitality.
