Position Summary
The Part-Time Activities Assistant supports the Director of Celebrations in creating fun, engaging, and meaningful experiences for residents in our Independent Living Community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors, is creative, friendly, dependable, and enjoys bringing people together.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with planning and leading resident activities, including crafts, games, social gatherings, and special events.
Help coordinate and participate in community field trips and outings.
Encourage resident participation and create a welcoming, positive atmosphere.
Assist with setting up and cleaning up before and after activities and events.
Provide friendly support and interaction with residents throughout the day.
Occasionally assist with answering phones and greeting visitors.
Support the Director of Sales with preparing move-in packets, welcome packets, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Perform other duties that support the community and resident experience.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Friendly, outgoing, and dependable personality.
Enjoys working with older adults and building relationships with residents.
Creative, energetic, and willing to participate in activities.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience working with seniors, in activities, hospitality, customer service, or a similar setting is a plus.
