Position Summary Information
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician I - Part Time Evening position will work with a team of Maintenance Technicians to provide general maintenance and support in a commercial facility environment for Isothermal Community College.
Responsibilities
Using an established work request system, assignments can include, but will not be limited to
  • Closing down of the campus each evening at 10 pm. This includes but is not limited to ensuring all doors are secure and locked, ensuring all gates are secure and locked, and other duties as assigned.
  • General facilities activities which may include moving furniture/supplies, setting up equipment, mowing/bush-hogging, trimming plants, weed-eating, and light chainsaw work.
  • General roof maintenance which may include but is not limited to cleaning, inspections, roof repair and evaluation, and clearing roof drains.
  • General plumbing repairs and maintenance including but not limited to repairing various types of leaks, maintaining commercial flush valves, occasional use of powered drain cleaning equipment, and other plumbing issues.
  • General light construction projects include but not limited to painting, framing, hanging/finishing sheetrock, installing doors, installing/repairing locksets.
  • Operate construction/commercial equipment including but not limited to skid steer, forklift, scissor lift, tamps, and excavators.
  • This position is considered essential, and staff must respond to snow events and storm events to ensure the college can continue to operate, including but not limited to snow shoveling and spreading ice melt.
  • Assisting other skilled trades in support of maintenance activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Facilities leadership.
