Position: Part-time, Evening Welding Instructor
Location: Maplewood Career Center

Beginning Date: Fall 2026

General Job Description:
1. Part-time, evening welding instructor, fill in as needed.
2. Provide instruction to adults in Welding.
3. Provide instruction in group setting or individually.
4. Curriculum created/adjust to class needs.
5. Attend yearly Maplewood Advisory Board meeting for Welding Technologies/Modular Welding.
6. Ability to teach in class or lab setting.
7. Evening hours 5:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Reports to: Director of Adult Education
Qualifications:
1. Must have 5 years work experience and a high school diploma.
2. Welding Certification(s) preferred; weld test required.
3. Teaching experience not required, but preferred.
4. Desire to work with adult learners.
5. Provide BCI/FBI Background Check (this can be done at Maplewood).
6. Current Ohio Department of Education Adult Education Teaching Certificate (apply for after employment).
7. Communication skills.
8. Ability to use computer (email/Word/PowerPoint).
SALARY:
$25 per hour
