SUMMARY

The Esthetics Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both classroom and lab settings while ensuring compliance with the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Arts regulations. This role includes developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and fostering a supportive learning environment. The instructor will also assist with curriculum updates and ensure adherence to educational standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with all NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts regulations and program requirements.
  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction tailored to diverse learning styles.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, syllabi, and competency-based course outlines.
  • Assess student performance through timely evaluations, interim assessments, and final exams.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and progress reports.
  • Submit required reports and documentation to the Lead Instructor promptly.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students, referring them to college resources as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and instructional methodologies through professional development.
  • Maintain classroom and lab equipment in accordance with safety and instructional standards.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that fosters student success and engagement.
  • Participate in curriculum updates to align with industry and regulatory changes.
  • Assist in aligning program competencies with institutional learning outcomes.
  • Maintain test files and assessment tools linked to student learning objectives.
  • Support college-wide initiatives and contribute to planning processes.
  • Adhere to institutional policies regarding instructional delivery and student support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education and experience demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skill, and abilities.REQUIREMENTS:Education/SkillsRequired: Must possess a valid NC State Board Esthetician or Cosmetology License. Must possess a valid NC State Board Esthetician or Cosmetologist Instructor License.Preferred: Associate's degree in a related field.Experience

May require travel.
