Part-Time Estate Groundskeeper & Property Caretaker


West Grove, PA


We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to help maintain a beautiful private estate. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in caring for a property as if it were their own, and notices the small details that others miss.


Part-time to start with the opportunity to grow into a full-time Estate Caretaker position.


Responsibilities


Water and care for hydrangeas, roses, boxwoods, and seasonal plantings

Deadhead flowers, prune shrubs, weed garden beds, and monitor plant health

Fertilize and treat plants as directed

Bring in mail and packages daily

Walk the property to ensure everything is secure and in good condition

Report maintenance concerns before they become problems

Keep patios, walkways, and outdoor living spaces neat

Sweep, blow leaves, and perform light exterior cleanup

Help prepare the property for parties and family gatherings

Seasonal decorating assistance (holiday décor, planters, etc.)

Light pressure washing and outdoor furniture care

Feed or check on animals if needed

Coordinate with landscapers and vendors when owners are away


Handyman Skills (A Plus)


Minor plumbing and electrical repairs

Painting and touch-ups

Fence and gate repairs

Basic carpentry

Irrigation troubleshooting

Small equipment maintenance

Assembly and installation of household items


We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:


Honest and trustworthy

Highly dependable and punctual

Self-motivated with little supervision

Exceptionally detail-oriented

Organized and proactive

Respectful of privacy and confidentiality

Comfortable working around children and pets

Physically able to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in all seasons

Experienced with gardening or horticulture (preferred)

Able to identify common plant diseases, pests, and watering needs

Able to use common landscaping equipment safely

A non-smoker preferred

Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

Able to pass a background check

Comfortable occasionally working weekends or before events when needed


Bonus Qualifications


Experience maintaining luxury homes or private estates

Knowledge of roses, hydrangeas, boxwoods, and ornamental gardens

Experience with irrigation systems

Farm or property maintenance experience

Event setup experience

Snow removal and seasonal maintenance

General handyman or maintenance background


Schedule


Flexible part-time hours (approximately 10–25 hours per week to start)

Opportunity for additional hours and a full-time position for the right candidate
