Description

**MUST HAVE EXPRIENCE WITH EPICOR KINETIC**

Job Summary:

This consultant role will evaluate and enhance inventory accounting and costing processes across manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy, strong controls, and alignment with standard cost and FIFO methodologies. The role will analyze production costs and inventory performance to deliver actionable insights that improve margin and operational efficiency. In partnership with cross-functional teams, the consultant will drive process improvements, resolve variances, and strengthen ERP data integrity.

  • Assess and optimize inventory accounting and costing processes across manufacturing locations, including standard cost, FIFO, and variance methodologies.
  • Analyze production costs (materials, labor, overhead) and identify opportunities to improve cost accuracy, operational efficiency, and margin performance.
  • Evaluate inventory controls, reconciliations, and ERP data integrity; recommend and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and reporting.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to investigate variances, streamline BOMs, and improve costing visibility across the business.
  • Provide insights, reporting, and recommendations to leadership on inventory trends, cost drivers, and profitability, supporting strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years primarily in inventory cost accounting and inventory management experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth understanding of Standard, FIFO and Lot-Average inventory costing.
