Job Description:
The Pharmacist Specialist serves as a specialist in a selected area of pharmaceutical care with the goal being the safe, efficacious, and cost-effective use of drugs and information to achieve outcomes that improve patient quality of life.
Our pharmacy greatly values patient experience and provides thorough medication education and patient consultations. As a teaching hospital, our pharmacists have exceptional opportunities to interact and help develop pharmacy students as they pursue their education.
This position may float to other Aspirus locations: Medford, Stanley, Stevens Point, and Rhinelander - MILAGE PAID.
Hours: Day Shift, Monday - Friday between 7:45am-7:30pm, and Saturday 8:45am-4:30pm
Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current Pharmacist License: WI or active in another state if WI is pending.
  • A minimum of three years' experience desired in outpatient pharmacy or health system pharmacy practice to enhance and develop skills.
  • Knowledge of medication therapy management is beneficial.
  • Experience with Epic, beneficial.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Meds to Beds, beneficial.
  • Developed communication skills for patient consultations.
  • Membership in the American Pharmacists Associate (APhA) and the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) desired.
