Overview
St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Across its five Schools, Fisher offers nearly 40 majors in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, education, and nursing; 11 pre-professional programs; and master's and doctoral programs in business, nursing, education, pharmacy, and public health. The University's residential campus boasts a robust living and learning community and a successful intercollegiate athletics program. Fisher is a community where all are welcome, regardless of religious or cultural background.
The University continues to honor its founders, the Congregation of St. Basil, by embracing their motto, "Teach Me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge." We are located in Pittsford, N.Y., seven miles outside of the city of Rochester. The campus is situated on 164 park-like acres-a beautiful setting for a warm, friendly campus community.
Job Responsibilities
-Transporting sports teams and students to off-campus events and practices from mid August thru end of May; hours per week will vary during playing seasons. Additional hours over the summer for other campus events.
-Must be able to adapt to a flexible schedule; hours and days will vary depending on athletic schedules; nights and weekends are required.
-Ability to work with google documents, check and respond to e-mail and phone calls. Training on google docs will be provided
-Must keep written log of activity
Education / Experience
- High School graduate
- Clean driving record
- Must know basic vehicle and traffic laws
Competencies / Skills
Class B CDL Driver Requirements:
• Clean Class B License with air brakes, Passenger endorsements
• Familiar with DOT rules and requirements. Ability to read basic instructions, road signs and maps, and be able to keep a written log of activity.
• Strong customer service abilities with emphasis on customer satisfaction
• Strong organizational & Time management skills
• Positive attitude with a Professional appearance
• Willingness to learn and be coached as needed

Work Environment
Transporting student athletes and staff to and from St John Fisher University to competition and practice or event venues. Bus: Embassy 395 Freightliner M-2 bus 8.5 feet wide, 39.5 feet long and 11.5 high. Full cab - driver and co-pilot. Max 36 passengers with back storage area (outside access).
