Description Title: Lecturer Pool (SoLS Fall 2026: MICR 351) Position Number: 000LECX Hiring Unit: C OF NAT SCI, SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES, SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES Location: UH at Manoa Full Time/Part Time: Part-time Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Other Conditions: Appointment to begin August 25, 2026. Lecturers needed to teach the following courses this Fall 2026 semester: 1. MICR 351: Biology of Microorganisms (3 cr) Anatomy, chemistry, physiology, genetics, development, and environmental interactions of microorganisms.

Minimum Qualifications Available to teach the entire Fall 2026 semester; 0-1 years of experience teaching college-level courses; BS degree, MS degree, or advancement to candidacy in a PhD degree in Biology, Botany, Microbiology, or related field; General knowledge of one or more of the courses listed above. Desirable Qualifications: Previous college-level teaching experience; Online teaching experience, demonstrated teaching proficiency, strong scientific writing skills, demonstrated organizational skills; PhD degree in Biology, Botany, Microbiology, or related field. Duties and Responsibilities for all courses: Teach course(s) and/or associated lab sections for the duration of the Fall 2026 semester; Preparing and delivering lectures, writing and grading exams, and other assessments.
