What is a part time entry level project manager?

A part time entry level project manager is someone who helps oversee and coordinate projects within an organization while working less than a full-time schedule. This role is designed for individuals who are new to project management and typically involves supporting senior project managers, tracking progress, updating documentation, and communicating with team members. It offers an opportunity to gain project management experience while balancing other commitments such as school or another job.

What types of projects and responsibilities can I expect as a part time entry level project manager?

As a part-time entry level project manager, you'll typically assist with managing smaller projects or supporting specific phases of larger projects under the guidance of senior staff. Responsibilities often include scheduling team meetings, tracking project progress, updating documentation, and ensuring deadlines are met. You'll collaborate closely with team members from different departments, learning to coordinate tasks and communicate updates. This role provides hands-on exposure to project management processes while allowing you to gradually build your skills and understanding of project workflows.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time entry level project manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Entry Level Project Manager, you need foundational knowledge of project management principles, basic organizational skills, and often a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Familiarity with common project management tools like Microsoft Project, Trello, or Asana, and understanding basic methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall, are typically expected. Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities help you coordinate tasks and work effectively with teams. These skills and qualifications are essential for keeping projects on track, meeting deadlines, and ensuring team collaboration even in a part-time capacity.

Job Description
At BioLife, we know that flexibility matters-especially for those balancing multiple commitments. That's why we're dedicated to creating meaningful part-time opportunities for our team.
This role is truly part-time, with most shifts lasting between 4 to 6 hours a day, 3+ days per week-designed to fit your life.
• We'll confirm your availability and shift days and times early in the interview process. And, because we value open communication, you'll always be informed about any schedule changes in advance.
• Our patients depend on the plasma we collect, so your reliability during your scheduled hours is greatly valued. However, our part-time roles are designed with the understanding that flexibility on both sides is key.
Whether you're looking for extra income, a way to gain valuable experience, or a schedule that fits your busy life-BioLife welcomes part-time team members just like you! Start strong with our paid, interactive training program!
Please take this virtual tour to get a sneak peek of one of our Plasma Donation Centers.
About the role:
Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
How you will contribute:
• You will answer phones, and greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
• You will screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• You will use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• You will help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
• You will be there for our donors, which includes working a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
What you bring to Takeda:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
• Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
• 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
What Takeda can offer you:
Every day at Takeda, we feel good knowing that what we do helps improve the lives of patients with rare diseases. At BioLife, while you focus on our donors, we will support you.
