Eden Senior Care, founded in 2016, is a growing Healthcare Management company, focused on managing and operating Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation and Assisted Living communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Alabama. Edenbrook Platteville, part of the Eden Senior Care Network and a skilled nursing facility, is seeking an Activity Aide to join our wonderful facility!

Position: Part-Time Activity Assistant

  • 2-3 days a week
  • Every other weekend rotation and 3 holidays rotation a year
  • 10 AM to 5 PM during weekdays, 7 AM to 4 PM every other weekend
  • Pay: $17-$18 / hour
  • Prior experience is not required; however, any caregiver/C.N.A. experience is a plus.

The Activity Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small-group facilitation, and large-group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and the value of approaches in the medical record.

Job functions will include:

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and emotional needs of our residents
  • Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day
  • Help design programs to encourage socialization
  • Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills
  • Prepare and maintain reports on resident’s progress
  • Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained
  • Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation
