Job description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in our Behavioral Health Unit plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals across the lifespan. In this position, you will assess, plan, coordinate, and implement care tailored to the unique emotional, psychological, and medical needs of each patient.
Our RNs are supported in providing high-quality care in a safe, collaborative environment that values clinical excellence, flexibility, and continuous improvement. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to making a meaningful difference in patients' lives every day.

  • 24 hrs/ week
  • Nights
  • 3 Week Rotation
  • Week 1- Thurs, Fri Week 2- Fri, Sat Week 3- Sun, Mon

Required Skills :
1. Knowledgeable in Medical Terminology.
2. Communication skills are essential.
3. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS HCP).
4. Facility designated de-escalation training within one year of hire
5. Ability to manage, coordinate, and direct nurses in administrative tasks.
6. Possess good interpersonal skills so that they can communicate with the patients and the staff.
7. Ability to problem-solve and be enthusiastic enough to accept day-to-day work challenges.
8. Understand and have a profound knowledge of all the medications and equipment in the department.
9. Possess ability to coordinate multiple tasks at a time while setting priorities.
10. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and basic Windows based program.
Minimum Work Experience:
1. One (1) year psychiatric nursing experience preferred
2. One (1) year of nursing experience preferred
Minimum Education:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
2. Maintains current RN or LPN license within the state of Idaho.
