Job description

Part Time Overnight Security Officer


Location: Burlington, MA

Pay Rate: $22.05/hour

Schedule: Fri/Sat 11pm-7am


Securitas USA is seeking a reliable and vigilant Full-Time Overnight Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, employees, and visitors during overnight hours. You will conduct regular patrols, monitor surveillance equipment, respond to incidents, and enforce company policies and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure safety and security
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and access control systems
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including fire, medical, or security situations
  • Enforce site rules and regulations, including access control procedures for employees, visitors, and contractors
  • Complete detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities
  • Conduct security checks on doors, windows, gates, and equipment
  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors while maintaining a professional and authoritative presence 
  • Work closely with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other departments when necessary
     

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong observation and communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for report writing and email.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
