Part-Time Electronics Technician


Labco Systems is seeking a reliable, motivated part-time Electronics Technician to assist with the installation, service, and maintenance of commercial low-voltage security systems throughout the New York City metro and Westchester area.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience with enterprise security systems. Hours are flexible and may grow into a full-time position for the right candidate.


Responsibilities

  • Service and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, intercom, and IT Network systems
  • Install and terminate low-voltage cabling
  • Replace and program field devices such as readers, cameras, locks, door contacts, motion detectors, power supplies, routers and IT equipment
  • Assist with network-connected security equipment
  • Document service work and communicate with customers professionally
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and company vehicle (when applicable)


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with low-voltage systems (or strong mechanical/electrical aptitude)
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and a multimeter
  • Comfortable working on ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
