Job Overview:
The Patient Care Technician functions under the direct supervision of a professional nurse. He/she performs specific duties and is considered an integral part of the nursing team. He/she will assist the nurse in gathering information and making observations regarding the patient's condition.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association only
  • Enrolled in a Nursing Program, current EMT certification, Medical Assistant Certified, Phlebotomist Certified, EKG tech or equivalent

Certifications and Licenses:
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:
  • Nights
  • Every other weekend required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
