Job Summary:
Parent Education and supported visitation services are provided within the home in order to improve parent/child interaction and work on increasing parenting skills. The Bavolek Parent Nurturing model is used.
Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years experience in family and children services preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree issued in Social Work, Psychology or related field
  • Must meet the qualifications of contract requirements and other governmental and accrediting bodies
  • Must be registered in the State of Michigan
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments to gather psychological history and assess current functioning at the point of intake and develop goals that are measurable.
  • Complete Initial Family Assessment on time in order for the goals to be developed and set a guideline for measuring progress.
  • Educate, teach and model skills in parenting, childcare, communication, household management and other needed areas in order to strengthen the overall family functioning.
  • Work with families in the achievement of set goals, as well as referrals to other service providers to assist with achieving goal.
  • Knowledge in crisis intervention, resource development, amp; solution focused systems
