Schedule Overview
As a Physician Author, you'll work part-time in a hospital-based (e.g., hospitalist) or outpatient practice while dedicating the remainder of your time at our corporate office in Irving, TX. This flexible arrangement typically involves a schedule combining 25-40% clinical work and 60-75% nonclinical contributions.
Requirements
  • Board certified or eligible MD in Emergency Medicine
  • Strong communication skills and a deep passion for educating future physicians
  • Proven high scores on USMLEยฎ Step 1, 2, and 3 examinations
  • Experience in writing board-style questions, tutoring medical students, or working in an academic setting is a plus

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop original content for the USMLEยฎ, ABIMยฎ, ABFM, and other UWorld Question Banks, including engaging clinical vignettes and comprehensive explanations aligned with examination blueprints and high-yield clinical scenarios.
  • Review and revise contributions from fellow authors, offering constructive feedback while focusing on accuracy, clarity, and educational value.
  • Collaborate with our medical illustration team to create captivating, high-yield imagery that highlights essential surgical concepts and procedures.
  • Engage with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, editors, illustrators, IT experts, and customer support professionals to produce top-notch content while enhancing processes and responding to user feedback.
  • Showcase your ability to manage your time effectively and contribute positively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed to support our mission.
