Job Summary 

In this role you will Support the Culinary Content Creator in preparing recipes, food photography, and video content using BetterBody Foods products for social media, Marketing, and Ecommerce projects. This role is responsible for helping keep the test kitchen clean, organized, stocked, and ready for production, as well as assisting with ingredient preparation, set organization, and day-of-shoot needs. 

In this position, you will work closely with the Culinary Content Creator and may also collaborate with the Executive R&D Chef, Creative Team, Marketing Team, and Ecommerce Team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working in a kitchen environment, and willing to assist wherever needed to help culinary content shoots run efficiently. 

What You'll Do (Responsibilities and Duties) 

  • Be available to work in the test kitchen in Lindon, Utah, and occasionally assist at off-site locations. 
  • Coordinate grocery shopping with the Culinary Content Creator based on upcoming recipes and shoot needs. 
  • Purchase or pick up groceries, ingredients, supplies, and other assets needed for culinary projects. 
  • Clean, organize, and prepare the on-site test kitchen before and after photoshoots and video shoots. 
  • Stock BetterBody Foods products, ingredients, kitchen supplies, and kitchen equipment needed for food photography and video production. 
  • Measure, portion, and prepare ingredients. Assist in preparing finalized recipes as needed, particularly during busy shoot days.  
  • Help assemble, adjust, and take down sets between shots. 
  • Keep workspaces clean and organized throughout production days.  
  • Run mid-shoot errands or pick up additional ingredients and supplies as needed. 
  • Clean and reset the kitchen after shoots, including washing dishes, taking out trash, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, laundry of prop linens when necessary, and returning equipment and supplies to their proper locations. 
  • Support weekly and monthly kitchen deep-cleaning tasks. 
  • Monitor kitchen inventory and communicate when ingredients, products, cleaning supplies, or equipment need to be restocked. 
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and production-ready kitchen. 

Who You Are (Competencies/Qualifications) 

  • Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, test kitchen, restaurant, bakery, catering environment, or similar food-related role is preferred. 
  • Comfortable performing basic cooking, baking, and ingredient-preparation tasks. 
  • Able to follow recipes, preparation instructions, food-safety practices, and cleaning procedures. 
  • Highly organized and detailed. 
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Comfortable taking direction, receiving feedback, and adjusting priorities throughout the production day. 
  • Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with creative and culinary team members. 
  • Willing to assist with a variety of responsibilities, including food preparation, cleaning, shopping, errands, and set organization. 
  • Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry groceries, kitchen supplies, props, and equipment. 
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel locally for grocery shopping, supply pickups, and occasional off-site shoots. 


Requirements

 Need To Have (Skills) 

  • In progress or completion of: College or Technical School, Culinary Certificate, or Industry Experience. 
  • Food Handlers Permit. Also, a strong knowledge of food safety policies.  
  • Strong kitchen skills, problem solving skills, and food ingredient knowledge. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Google applications 

Nice To Have 

  • Interest in cooking, baking and food trends in culinary content, or social media. 
  • Experience assisting with food styling. An eye for design and colors. 
  • Comfortable speaking in front of people, teaching or creating teaching videos.  

Work Environment This job operates in a test kitchen / photo studio / office environment. There may be off-site photo shoots. Moving, lifting, working in tight quarters, and exposed to various lighting conditions for photography.  The employee is sometimes exposed to odors, fumes, dust or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and kitchen equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to taste the products. Certain products handled by the company contain many different allergens.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is required to stand, walk, squat, stoop, use hands and arms to perform tasks including reaching and lifting.

Job requirements Able to stand for a 6-7 hour shift Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday and possibly Mondays 8am - 5pm Additional hours might be required at times Occasional weekend work
