Job description

Job Title: Retail & E-Commerce Lead (Part-Time)

Location: Books & Brews

Job Type: Part-Time (15–20 hours/week | Flexible Morning/Midday Hours)

Pay: $15-20/hr + Perks

On-site: NOT a remote job

About Books & Brews

At Books & Brews, we bring people together over great craft beer, good food, used books, board games, and community events. We are equal parts neighborhood taproom and indie bookstore/retail shop.

We’re looking for an organized, self-driven Retail & E-Commerce Lead to take full ownership of our retail floor and online order fulfillment. If you love books, organized spaces, and smooth e-commerce operations, this is the perfect hands-on role for you!

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the champion of our retail environment and online shop, working mostly during off-peak morning or midday hours so you can work without taproom distractions.

Online Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and process daily online sales (primarily trading cards) for timely shipping/pickup.

Merchandising & Curation: Keep our book shelves, board game displays, and apparel areas clean, organized, and visually inviting.

Inventory & Cataloging: Log incoming stock, apply price tags, update e-commerce product listings, and run routine inventory checks.

Supplies & Logistics: Monitor shipping materials (boxes, mailers, tape) and ensure retail display signage is clear and accurate.

Who You Are

Detail-Oriented & Organized: You get genuine satisfaction from neat shelves, accurate inventory, and packed orders ready on time.

Self-Motivated: You thrive when given ownership of a project and don't need constant direct supervision to stay on task.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using basic POS/e-commerce platforms (e.g., Square) and shipping software.

Retail or E-Commerce Experience: 1+ years in retail, bookstore operations, fulfillment, or running an online store (TCGplayer, eBay, Shopify, Mercari, etc) preferred.

Culture Fit: A fan of books, craft beer, board games, and local community spaces!

Perks & Benefits

Flexible Scheduling: Work weekday morning/midday shifts before the afternoon taproom rush.

Employee Discounts: Discounts on food, books, and merchandise.

Growth Opportunity: Potential to expand hours or take on additional responsibilities including hours behind the bar or in the kitchen
