JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Sweetman Lab in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management is seeking a lab assistant position for research examining the impact of macroplastic pollution on freshwater ecosystems in central Pennsylvania.
Duties:
  • Designing and conducting experiments examining macroinvertebrate community establishment on macroplastic litter
  • Field sampling (streams, mesocosms, sediment coring)
  • Sorting field collected samples (macroinverterbates)
  • Data entry and microscope work
  • Miscellaneous lab research duties

This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
