  • Communicate status updates to the Assistant Operations Manager regarding pre-planning progress.
  • Identify and communicate yard pile challenges, crane or yard conflicts, and other operational issues that may affect vessel planning.
  • Reconcile vessel load lists, including no-load containers and containers on hold, and communicate applicable lists to steamship lines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in supply chain, logistics, maritime, transportation, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of work-related tasks.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to organize, plan tasks, conduct basic internet research, and communicate clearly with personnel, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and management.
  • Must be authorized to work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in business or a related field of study preferred.
  • Supply chain, logistics, maritime, transportation, or terminal operations experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of terminal operating systems preferred, including Tideworks applications such as Mainsail and Spinnaker.

  • Requires climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and wearing PPE.
  • This is an on-site role that requires availability for rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel.
