Position Details:
The Kilgore College Workforce Development and Continuing Education (WDCE) department provides life-long learning opportunities for adults in the community. This is a part time position with instruction times varying depending on the course of instruction. Part time instructor are added to the instructor pool and will instruct on a course by course basis as needed.Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be responsible for instructing short term training in day-time, evening or weekend courses pertaining to obtaining a Class A Commercial Driver's License. The specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: write/review course descriptions and learning outcomes, build/supplement curriculum as needed, provide instruction and ensure all elements of training are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must possess a current Class A Commercial Driver's License with a tanker endorsement and at least five years of truck driving experience. The applicant will preferably possess a minimum of an associate's degree and have training experience. Applicant must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; have effective presentation and computer skills; be well organized and thorough; be able to work well with little supervision; demonstrate patience, teaching ability and listening and be able to deal professionally and courteously with a diverse student and employee population.Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:

All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.
