Job Description: Driving Range Attendant
Location: Reeves County Golf Course – Pro Shop

Job Type: Part Time

Salary: $13 an hour

Job Description:

Overview: The Driving Range Attendant is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the driving range facility. This includes managing customer service, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the area remains clean and safe for all users. The position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. The Driving Range Attendant will be required to work the busiest nights, which are Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers and provide assistance for the golf course facilities. Will be acting as the primary point of contact for the customers using the driving range.
  • Range Maintenance: Collect and sort golf balls, and ensure the driving range area is kept clean and well-organized.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure all range balls and equipment are in good condition and free of defects. Maintain the safety of customers by ensuring proper behavior on the range.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain driving range equipment, including ball washers, and carts.
  • Concession: Conducting sales of beverages and concession items. Restock supplies as necessary.
  • Setup and Breakdown: Set up the driving range and break it down at the end of the day, including ensuring all equipment is properly stored.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a positive customer experience by assisting with any special requests, providing information about the facility, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. Ensuring the overall safety and smooth operation of the practice area.
  • Monitor Usage: Ensure that players follow proper driving range etiquette, including time limits on hitting and proper club use.
  • Reporting: Report any issues with equipment, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to the Golf Course Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of golf and the driving range operation is preferred.
