What is a part time driver?

Part time drivers are individuals who operate vehicles, such as cars, vans, or trucks, on a schedule that is less than full time, often working flexible or reduced hours. They may work for ride-sharing services, delivery companies, or private employers. Part time driving jobs are ideal for people who want supplemental income, flexible work hours, or have other commitments such as school or family. Responsibilities typically include safe vehicle operation, timely delivery or transport, and good customer service. Requirements usually include a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and sometimes additional background checks.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time driver?

To thrive as a Part Time Driver, you need a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and thorough knowledge of local routes and traffic laws. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, route-planning apps, and sometimes fleet management software is typically required. Exceptional time management, reliability, and strong customer service skills help drivers stand out in this role. These skills ensure drivers can provide safe, timely, and positive experiences for passengers or deliveries, which is critical for employer satisfaction and repeat business.

What are some common scheduling challenges faced by part time drivers, and how can they be managed?

Part-time drivers often encounter challenges related to fluctuating schedules and last-minute route changes, especially during peak periods or when covering for absent colleagues. Effective communication with dispatchers and regularly checking scheduling apps can help drivers stay informed of updates. Flexibility and proactive time management are key, and many companies offer online scheduling systems to help drivers select shifts that best fit their availability. Building a good rapport with team members can also provide more opportunities for shift swaps when needed.

Job description

Party Rental Delivery Driver — Part-Time

Pay: $20–$25/hour

Bounce N' More delivers and sets up party and event rental equipment across the Dallas area — bounce houses, tables, chairs, and more, for backyard parties, schools, churches, businesses, and citywide events. We're looking for reliable part-time drivers to join our delivery team.

What You'll Do

●        Load, deliver, set up, and take down rental equipment at customer locations

●        Walk customers through safety and operating instructions for their equipment

●        Pick up equipment after events and return it to the warehouse

●        Represent Bounce N' More with friendly, professional customer service

Schedule — What to Expect

This is a part-time role built around our busiest days:

●        Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are our peak delivery days — availability on these days is required.

●        Holidays (e.g., Easter, July 4th, Halloween, and the weekend before/of each) are our busiest times of year — availability is required.

●        Some weekday deliveries are also available for drivers who want more hours.

What We're Looking For

●        A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance

●        Ability to lift and move up to 200+ lbs with a dolly

●        A working cell phone and familiarity with the Dallas area (or GPS)

●        Strong communication skills and good judgment working independently

●        A friendly, can-do attitude, even when things get busy

Requirements

●        Must live within 30 miles of Rowlett, TX

●        Must be physically able to perform the job duties described above

Why Bounce N' More

●        Competitive pay: $20–$25/hour

●        Company truck provided — no wear and tear on your own vehicle

●        A supportive team that lives by Accountability, Teamwork, Adaptability, Safety, and Service

●        Room to grow — top-performing drivers can move up in pay and responsibility over time
