PMA Health is a premier, physician-led multispecialty group seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Immediate Care team on a part-time basis. This role offers an exciting, fast-paced clinical environment, exceptional work-life balance, and top-quality support from an incredibly collaborative and highly resourced team.


Quick Look:

  • Schedule: Part-Time, 3 days/week | Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Sat/Sun 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
    • 1 weekend/month (Sat/Sun 9 AM - 2 PM) is highly preferred; flexible time off during the week when a weekend shift is worked.
  • Clinical Setting: 100% Immediate Care. Fast-paced, acute care environment treating patients of all ages, preventing clinical burnout and keeping the day-to-day interesting.
  • Locations: Primarily based at the Falls Church, VA outpatient clinic (occasional coverage at the Clarendon immediate care clinic).

Practice Overview:

  • Broad Scope of Care: Provide walk-in immediate care and virtual visits for acute illnesses and injuries (e.g., respiratory illnesses, minor sprains, burns/lesions, UTIs). Manage a dynamic volume averaging 20-30 patients per day.
  • Clinical Duties: Perform general immediate care procedures, including suturing. Providers practice with a high degree of autonomy (working as a solo provider at the Falls Church location, and alongside a second provider at the Clarendon location on weekdays).
  • Unmatched Support: Thrive in a highly supported environment featuring dedicated Medical Assistants stationed on the urgent care side. The clinics feature a robust suite of ancillary services, including an on-site lab (blood drawing station), radiology tech (X-rays), Dexa scans, and EKGs.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Virginia license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience: 2+ years of clinical practicing experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine is required.
  • Attributes: Strong bedside manner, a relationship-based approach to care, and HIPAA compliance.
