Canine Care Technician / Kennel Technician

Full-Time/Part time | K9s Place | Melbourne, FL

Do you enjoy staying active, working hard, and caring for dogs?
K9s Place is looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our Canine Care Team. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position that requires excellent time management, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to the health and safety of every dog in our care.
Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect kennels and play yards
  • Feed, water, and care for boarding and daycare dogs
  • Supervise daycare playgroups
  • Safely handle dogs of all breeds and sizes
  • Monitor dogs for changes in health or behavior
  • Laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping, and general facility cleaning
  • Work efficiently with your team to keep the facility running smoothly
Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation
  • Weekend and holiday availability required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and move throughout your shift
  • Previous animal care experience is a plus but not required
