Job description

We're looking for a caring, reliable, and energetic Part-Time Dog Kennel Attendant to join our team at Lombard Doggy Daycare in San Francisco. You'll be responsible for the daily care, safety, and happiness of the dogs in our facility — from morning feeding to greet customers. This role is Saturdays and Sundays from 7AM-7PM


Responsibilities
  • Supervise dogs during daycare play groups, monitoring behavior and intervening when necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries
  • Feed, water, and administer medications to dogs according to individualized care instructions provided by owners
  • Assist with bathing, brushing, and basic grooming as needed
  • Observe dogs for signs of illness, injury, stress, or behavioral changes and report findings to the supervisor promptly
  • Handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments safely and confidently
  • Greet pet owners at drop-off and pick-up, providing friendly and professional customer service
  • Document daily activities, feeding logs, and any behavioral or health observations
  • Follow all facility safety protocols and standard operating procedures
Requirements
  • Genuine love for dogs and comfort handling them in group settings
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and/or holidays as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members
