Healthcare United is seeking a full-time Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join an established physician-owned multi-specialty group in Fall River, Massachusetts.

The NP will join the office practice of a Family Medicine physician and provide primary care to adult and adolescent patients. The Nurse Practitioner will assume independent responsibility for patient care based on experience, training, and clinical confidence while having direct physician support readily available.

The full-time schedule is 36–40 hours per week across four days, with Thursdays off and no nights or weekends. A part-time schedule of 2–3 days per week may also be considered.

The organization includes approximately 180 providers and 70 advanced practice providers, with extensive on-site specialty and diagnostic support including laboratory services, radiology, cardiac and pulmonary testing, allergy, infectious disease, and additional specialty services.

Experienced Nurse Practitioners are preferred, although recent graduates with a strong clinical background and the ability to practice confidently and independently will be considered. Portuguese fluency is particularly valuable within the Fall River patient population.

Responsibilities


• Provide comprehensive primary care to adult and adolescent patients
• Conduct medical histories and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide preventive care, health screenings, and patient education
• Prescribe and manage medications within scope of practice
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
• Coordinate care with the supervising Family Medicine physician
• Collaborate with on-site specialists and ancillary services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using eClinicalWorks
• Assume increasing independent responsibility based on experience and competency




Requirements
• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• National Nurse Practitioner board certification
• Active Massachusetts APRN license
• Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration required
• Active DEA registration required
• Primary care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related experience preferred
• Recent graduates with strong clinical backgrounds will be considered
• Ability to practice confidently and independently with physician support
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient-care skills
• Portuguese fluency highly valued but not required
