Encore at Parkside is currently hiring for a Part Time Cook

Responsibilities include:

Adherence to all sanitation and food handling protocols.

Preparation of food in accordance with sanitary regulations and departmental policies and procedures.

Assisgned pre-meal preparatin.

Assurance that food is prepared in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.

Maintenance of all appropriate documentation of temperature charts and similar records according to established HACCP protocols.

Appropriate distribution of all production on time and quantity necessary.

Maintains safe and secure work environment, uses safety devices.

Development, in coordination with the Sous Chef/Manager of new menu items and recipes

Notification to Sous Chef/Manager of inventory requirements in a timely fashion.

Assists in direction of kitchen staff.

Maintenance of confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure residents' rights and employee confidentiality are protected.

Assurance that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

Adherence to all safety policies and procedures of Encore Village and regulatory authorities.

Proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procedures.

Attendance and participation in in-service training programs.

Assurance that food preparation and storage areas are maintained in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.

Education:

Must have a state sanitation certificate.

ServeSafe certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of batch cooking and general use of standardized recipes.
