Job description

Status: Part-time, Benefit-Eligible

Average Hours per pay period:  72 hours every 2 weeks

  • DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
    • The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the provider and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations and to provide optimal service to the patient, providers, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the provider according to established procedures.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • Professional/Educational
      • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
      • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
      • Experience in Ambulatory Clinics preferred.
      • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
    • Personal
      • Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.
      • Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
      • Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
      • Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
      • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
      • Possess the ability to maintain the Standards of Conduct.
      • Ability to use the proper channels of communication.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
