We have a part-time opening on evening/weekend shifts for a Restaurant Shift Leader at Café Yumm! The Meridian near South Eugene High School in Eugene, OR.

Only those available to work evenings and weekends will be considered. Those with flexible availability will be preferred.

  • Starting base wage $17.56/hour plus $7.23/hour in tips (based on a 12-month average of hourly tips from 4/1/2025-3/31/2026).

The Restaurant Lead is a supervisory role that has no hiring, scheduling, or disciplinary responsibilities. While not a management position, advancement opportunities are available.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Display a high degree of competency and ability to train others on all stations in the restaurant: cashier, deluxe bar, dishwasher, expeditor, food preparation, grill/salads, starts/hot bar.
  • Provide service that is remarkable, memorable, fun, and informative.
  • Count registers and ensure money is accurate.
  • Follow procedures to ensure opening and closing are done properly.
  • Direct and motivate Team Members throughout shift to ensure operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess “can do” attitude.
  • Arrive on time for each shift.
  • Be proficient in customer service.
  • Possess leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Sufficient command of the English language to be able to order and receive product, check product against a delivery sheet or an order sheet, communicate orders to others, and read and understand the POS system.

Your Education and Experience:

  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Food Handler’s Permit.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a ServSafe Food Manager Certificate.
  • Possession of either a High School Diploma or GED Certificate is preferred.
  • At least six (6) months’ experience as a server, cook, cashier, host, or equivalent related experience is preferred.
