Responsibilities
- Pick up environmental samples from client facilities, field locations, and project sites.
- Safely transport samples to designated laboratory and office locations.
- Maintain proper chain-of-custody documentation and sample handling procedures.
- Ensure samples are stored and transported according to established temperature and handling requirements.
- Communicate pickup and delivery status with project managers and laboratory personnel.
- Follow established routes while adapting to changing schedules and priorities.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and site personnel.
- Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive extended distances throughout Western New York.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to lift and carry coolers and sample containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable using a smartphone, GPS navigation, and basic electronic documentation systems.
- Previous courier, delivery, transportation, environmental, or laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
- Frequent driving and entering/exiting vehicle throughout the day.
- Ability to lift, carry, and load sample coolers and supplies.
- Ability to work outdoors briefly during pickups and deliveries in varying weather conditions.
