Job Description
The Environmental Analysis Facility at the Desert Research Institute is seeking a part-time Student hourly Laboratory Assistant. This position will work under direct supervision to prepare filter media for field sampling and to perform gravimetric and thermal optical carbon analysis of filters. The incumbent will also assist in creating run lists, data files, and archiving filters.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of college completed, or equivalent work experience
• Once trained, must be able to work with little supervision
Preferred Qualifications
• Background in a physical science
Compensation Grade
$18.01 per hour
Schedule
• Maximum 25 hours per week
Physical Requirements
The ability to perform physical tasks, such as moving or lifting heavy objects up to 30 pounds, and long periods of sitting or standing.
