Project Overview:
Fab 62 is an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility for Intel Corporation, located at Intel's Ocotillo campus in Chandler, Arizona. As part of this work, the M&T team is responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction scope required to complete and finish-out a leading-edge chipmaking facility - a highly demanding environment where precision, cleanliness, schedule certainty, and coordination across thousands of craft and professional personnel are essential to success. The project supports the continued expansion of domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity, contributing to a more resilient technology supply chain while creating significant opportunity for the local Arizona workforce. Joining the Fab 62 team means contributing directly to one of the most strategically important construction efforts in the United States and helping deliver the infrastructure behind the next generation of microelectronics."
Job Summary:
In this role, you will use 2-D/3-D computer-aided design (CAD) to develop designs for electrical engineering such as earthwork, drainage, road design, and foundation. You will help construct detailed scale models, develop work plans, and review drawings for quality, accuracy, and completion. Your collaboration across disciplines will coordinate compliance and quality in the overall project design
Major Responsibilities:
  • Prepares layouts, study drawings, detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models, and construction drawings.
  • Develops designs for complete and complex electrical engineering systems such as electrical rooms, equipment, cable tray, conduit, duct bank, and lighting with minimum supervision from which detailed scale models and/or construction drawings are completed.
  • Assists with coordination of 3D model activities, i.e. input, interference reconciliation, etc. with other physical related disciplines.
  • Works with designers in other disciplines to coordinate overall design and technical requirements.
  • Prepares or assists with the preparation of assigned material requisitions and bid evaluations.
  • Participates in constructability reviews.
  • Prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort.
  • Coordinates or makes jobsite visits, as required, to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents.
  • Reviews electrical design scope changes, as required, for project management.
  • Ensures electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge & application of NEC code and NEMA/ANSI/IEEE and other industry standards.
  • Advanced experience using AutoCAD, Revit, S3D, and Navisworks.
  • Prior experience in modeling of electrical equipment, cable tray, and conduit.
  • Prior experience with an electronic Cable Management System, such as the SETROUTE program.
  • Prior experience supporting hyperscale data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, EV battery manufacturing, life sciences, or other high-reliability industrial facilities is preferred.
  • Prior experience in cable tray, raceway, lighting, and cable routing design.
  • Prior experience in bulk material quantity takeoffs.
  • Knowledge of electrical installation details and materials.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and layouts.
  • Ability to resolve design issues independently and collaboratively with other engineering disciplines, construction, and the client.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
