Are you passionate about supporting individuals on their path to recovery and stability? Harbor Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate Recovery Support Workers to provide direct support to individuals experiencing substance use challenges.
In this role, you will be part of a mission-driven team working in a residential based setting, helping clients build stability, develop recovery skills, and access critical services. This is a hands-on, relationship-centered position where your ability to engage, support, and respond to client needs will directly impact outcomes.
Available Schedules:
We are currently hiring for multiple part-time weekend roles.
All roles require flexibility to meet program and client needs, including some weekends and occasional schedule adjustments.
What You'll Do:
  • Provide direct support to clients, including recovery coaching, engagement, and skill-building
  • Facilitate recovery-oriented activities and support groups
  • Supervise self-administration of medications and conduct screenings (e.g., urinalysis, oral swabs)
  • Support clients in accessing community resources, including transportation to appointments
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents
  • Respond appropriately to crises and follow established emergency protocols
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation and data entry
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support client goals
  • Assist with program operations, including file maintenance and administrative tasks

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or related field
  • Recovery Support Worker Certification (CRSW) or ability to obtain within one year of employment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to transport clients
  • Basic computer proficiency, including documentation and data entry
  • Ability to pass Medication Administration Training

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Active CRSW certification
  • Experience in residential treatment or recovery-focused programs
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), preferably AthenaPractice
  • Experience working with diverse and high-acuity populations

  • Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders and recovery approaches
  • Understanding of Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care and Medication-Assisted Treatment
