Description:
The Industry Scholars Program, operated by Grant Associates, is seeking a Data Support Specialist who will provide essential support by entering, updating, and maintaining accurate work-based learning (WBL) program data related to our portfolio of FutureReadyNYC (FRNYC) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) high schools across New York City Public Schools. This role will support operations for the Industry Scholars Program by ensuring that student, placement, and compliance information are correctly recorded, organized, and readily accessible. You will be playing a vital part in transforming data into actionable insights, helping the team make informed decisions and continuously improve team operations.
This role involves working closely with student level data and as such, requires fingerprinting clearance through the NYCPS PETS systems. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail and comfort with NYC public transit system is a must as regular travel to school and work sites are required. This is currently a part-time role expected to start by September 2026 until 6/30/2027 with possible extension.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with collecting, cleaning, and organizing operational data to help identify trends and opportunities.
- Learn and gain familiarity with the program's external (Funder) systems of record, ensuring data integrity.
- Accurately enter student and internship placement information and other program data into CRM and database systems; update records as new information becomes available.
- Upload files and documentation into shared drives or databases in an organized manner.
- Assist in periodic data audits to ensure entries are accurate and error-free.
- Prepare basic spreadsheets and simple reports to help the team monitor program progress.
- Assist with reconciling information across multiple systems and spreadsheets.
- Work collaboratively with program and partnership team members to confirm data details and understand data priorities and deadlines.
- Support data clean up and organization efforts.
- Assist with worksite quality assurance reviews and conduct visits to ensure high-quality placements for students.
- Complete work site visit forms to reflect field observations.
- Enter and upload all worksite forms into all database systems in a timely and responsive manner.
- Communicate across the team regarding program participants and worksites.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of related field experience in operations, performance management and/or data entry.
- Experience in Salesforce or other database/CRM systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Meets ambitious deadlines and handles repetitive tasks well.
- Comfort navigating and using NYC public transit system for travel.
