Job description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), General Internal Med & Population Science, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I (Part-Time).
The Part-time Clinical Research Coordinator I will assist with small and large scale clinical studies and trials in the community of Demopolis, AL. Principle responsibilities include education, recruitment, patient navigation and retention efforts, data quality control and regulatory compliance.
General Responsibilities
  • To collect and record preliminary data for clinical research programs.
  • To recruit and perform follow-up with research participants as protocols outline.
  • To schedule visits according to research protocols.
  • To assist in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
  • To maintain familiarity with appropriate Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Serves as coordinator for studies and initiatives and provides support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
  2. Supports screening and participant eligibility determination, consent, enrollment, survey, and provides health education and navigation services.
  3. Conducts activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  4. Assists with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits, and assisting in the coordination of lab and fieldwork.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Range : $21.10 - $34.30
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Preferences
  • Ability to operate various office machines, including printers, computers, and various software packages.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
