Job description

Campus Lobby Receptionist

We are looking for a friendly and welcoming Receptionist to join our Chula Vista Campus team!

We need someone with a natural talent for customer service who truly enjoys helping others. As the face of our campus, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, setting a positive tone and ensuring our front office operates smoothly and efficiently.

Location: Chula Vista Campus | On-Site

Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 7:30 am to 1:30 pm

Type: Part-Time (20 Hours/Week)

Essential Functions:

  • Communication Management: Receive telephone calls, determine routing, transfer to appropriate personnel, and/or take accurate messages.
  • Visitor Relations: Greet visitors and assist them with their specific requests.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with typing, data entry, and filing or copying documents.
  • Lobby Standards: Ensure the lobby and reception area are presentable and professional.
  • Mail Logistics: Distribute all incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail for pickup.
  • Records Assistance: Send and receive transcripts for student files.
  • Event Coordination: Assist the Office Manager with school events such as graduation, new student orientation, and appreciation events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: One (1) year of experience as a receptionist.
  • Technical Skills: Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm and strong computer/word processing skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education/Training: Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications.
